Today we’re making truffle mashed potatoes with asparagus, butter steak and sizzling shrimp.

Nelly’s Surf N Turf 

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 30 - 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 - 6oz Pavilions Beef, Tenderloin, Steak Filet Mignon
  • 6 Russet or Yukon Gold Potatoes 
  • 2 Lbs 16/20 Peeled & Deveined Shrimp
  • 2 Lbs Fresh Asparagus Spears
  • 8 oz Sweet Cream, Salted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 3 tbsp White Truffle Oil
  • 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 3-4 tbsp Your Favorite Seasoning Salt
  • 1 tbsp Steak Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • Furikake
  • Nelly’s Mango Hab

Directions:

First, we’re going to peel, cut and boil our potatoes in a pot on medium high heat with half a tablespoon of kosher salt.

While, that is boiling, let prep our meat…

Steak - Season and massage in 2 tbsp of your favorite seasoning salt and 1 tbsp of steak seasoning. In a cast-iron skillet, add a fourth a cup olive oil on medium high heat. Once your oil is hot and ready, add your steaks and give each side a nice sear to seal in the seasoning. After all sides are seared add one stick (4 ounces) of sweet cream to the pan and reduce the heat to medium. For medium well steaks - Cook for about 10 minutes being sure to turn and baste with butter every two minutes. Remove from pan and let rest for 5 minutes before plating.

Shrimp - In a medium bowl season the rinsed shrimp with 1 tbsp of your favorite seasoning salt and 2 tbsp of minced garlic. In a large pan, melt 2 oz of butter on medium heat, then add your seasoned shrimp. Cook shrimp for 8-10 minutes.

Asparagus - Wash and cut ends. Add to a medium pan on high heat with a 1/4 cup of olive oil. While searing add a 1/2 a tablespoon of steak seasoning and 1/2 cup of lime juice. Cook until desired tenderness is achieved. 

Mashed Potatoes - When potatoes are fork tender remove from heat and strain water. Return potatoes to pot and let sit for 5 minutes to allow the excess water to steam. Whisk 4 oz of sweet cream, 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream and kosher salt to taste. Once the desired flavor is achieved add truffle oil.

Now it’s time to plate your masterpiece:

  • Mash
  • Sprinkle furikake
  • Asparagus 
  • Steak
  • Shrimp 
  • Nelly’s Mango Hsb
